When we started Secret Garden & Gems, it wasn’t just about flowers or jewelry — it was about honoring the traditions and culture of Hawai‘i.

We set out to create a space where tradition lives, stories are passed down, and every gift carries the weight of meaning. In Hawai‘i, we don’t just give to give, we give to connect. A lei is more than a garland. A bracelet, more than an accessory. Each one is a symbol of aloha, heritage, and human connection.

Our journey began in the heart of Waikīkī, tucked inside the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, a place where history and hospitality meet. We started simply: with handwoven leis, locally grown orchids, and jewelry inspired by the ocean and ʻāina (land). Everything we offer is a tribute to the culture we come from — made with intention, rooted in culture.

In Hawaiian culture, the act of giving is sacred. Whether it’s a lei draped over a shoulder or a pearl worn close to the heart, these gifts carry love, honor, and mana.
